I'm Professor of Philosophy at the University of Virginia in beautiful Charlottesville, Va. My research interests are divided between metaphysics, political philosophy, feminist philosophy, and ethics. I'm particularly interested in the places where these topics overlap. I've written a book on disability (The Minority Body, 2016), and a book about the nature of health (Health Problems, 2023) - which got weirdly personal. I also think a lot about the metaphysics of social and political structures.
I am lucky enough to be married to this guy. We share our lives with neurotic rescue border collies.
