I'm Professor of Philosophy at the University of Virginia in beautiful Charlottesville, Va. My research interests are divided between metaphysics, social philosophy, feminist philosophy, and ethics. I'm particularly interested in the places where these topics overlap. I recently wrote a book on disability, and I'm also thinking a lot about the metaphysics of social structures.

I am lucky enough to be married to this guy. We share our lives with neurotic rescue border collies - currently the adorable Breccan and Rowan (and our memories of dearly departed Willow).
